Troy is predicted to be East High’s basketball champion, along with his pals Chad and Zeke. When his friend Gabriella transfers to his same school, her brain power is immediately noticed by Taylor, Martha –who are determined to win their science competition. But Troy and Gabriella don’t just love basketball and math –they are incredible singers! In “What I’ve Been Looking For,” Ms. Darbus, Drama Director, recognizes their talent, as does Kelsi, the student composer of this year’s musical. Now life for Sharpay and Ryan, East High’s resident Drama Club Divas, is turned upside down when everyone suddenly refuses to “Stick to the Status Quo.” With a heart-warming message of staying true to yourself, High School Musical shows that nothing feels better than following your dreams and finally “Breaking Free.” Broadway Juniors is a one-week encouraging introductory musical theater experience for young actors, specifically designed for ages 5-7. Guided by a fabulous Skyline Teaching Artist, Juniors actors are empowered to express themselves and find all the fun of bringing a character to life onstage. Broadway Juniors will enhance reading skills by reciting lines, learn to sing loudly and clearly to songs they love, and develop coordination and physical stamina through basic dance steps. In addition to show rehearsals, days will be packed with playing acting games, coloring show-themed art projects, and fun in the sun with friends while visiting the park for outdoor lunch and recess. Actors will be motivated throughout their camp by the anticipation and shared goal of presenting their show with lights, sound, and scenery. Every actor will feel the thrill of make believe, the glow of lighting up the stage, and pride in their hard work coming together as they perform for friends and family on the final date of their camp. Younger Sibling Discount: Beginning in January 2025, the only discount available will be the 10% off “Younger Sibling Discount” for additional siblings, after paying full price for registering an older sibling.
